This endeavor aims to nurture a theological turn in children’s ministry through theological reflection that is tied directly to practical ministry among churches, children, and their caregiver. The program will engage ministry leaders, theologians, practitioners, and children in dialogue and experimentation to explore mutual ministry participation and children’s roles as theologians. Activities include theological dialogue retreats, conference presentations, and a learning pilgrimage. YF will establish advisory groups with children and deaf students, convene focus groups, and develop best practices and resources for ministry leaders. Programs will focus on prayer, worship, and spiritual formation, integrating children’s unique experiences and voices to shape inclusive and presence-centered ministry practices. YF hopes to engage 42 congregations throughout the duration of their grant project.
