Virginia Conference, The United Methodist Church

Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church will help congregations create room for the children whom God is sending to be in their midst and allowing their voice and faith to transform worshiping communities for the better. The Conference will convene year-long cohorts of eight to ten congregational teams, alongside consultants and experts, to study their own culture and history, including in response to children. Congregations will be invited to attend a worship retreat, centered on children, where they will experience a variety of creative, multi-sensory worship models led by experts. Once they return home, the teams will ideate and iterate around what they have experienced alongside expert innovation coaches to launch worship experiments appropriate to their context.
