Methodist Theological School in Ohio

This program will create and support three cohorts of ministry professionals and congregational leaders to impart strategies for enhancing children's engagement in congregational worship and prayer for children between the ages 4-12. Grant activities include creating three cohorts of ministry professionals and church leaders to engage in creative worship design, as well as pedagogical strategies for nurturing children's spiritual growth, working with congregational leaders to create curriculum, activities, and environments that support intergenerational worship, identifying cognitive and emotional needs of children between the ages of 4-12 and hosting a two day workshop at Methodist Theological Schools that introduces creative and meaningful ways of incorporating and elevating the voices of children into the congregational worship experience. This program will work with 18 churches over the life of the grant.
