Mel Trotter Ministries

This initiative will work with the congregations in its partner network. Mel Trotter Ministries will share its experience working with children with local congregations to equip these congregations to make children regular, full, participants in intergenerational worship through offering children multiple opportunities to lead worship and grow in their faith. This will be achieved through three main activities: creating kid-friendly worship content, implementing a structured program for consistent worship experiences, and convening children's ministry workers for shared learning and encouragement. Children will have the opportunity to lead worship both in their congregations and as leaders of worship in the homelessness shelter (supporting children at the shelter with opportunities to lead worship), participate in prayer and song, engage in play that deepens their spiritual connection, and receive blessings that reinforce their sense of community. Mel Trotter Ministries hopes to serve 54 churches and 390 kids throughout the duration of the grant.
