CONTACT:
LOCATION:

Louisville, KY, USA

The Himbaza Program will assist Gate of Home Ministries in evaluating and enhancing children’s involvement in worship and prayer. This will occur through innovative and inclusive practices, collaborative learning cohorts, professional development, and partnerships with experts in child engagement and the arts.  Congregational cohorts will be formed to network and learn from one another. These cohorts will focus on designing more intentional corporate worship services and prayer practices that engage children and nurture their faith. Best practices for including children in worship will be shared across cohorts. Targeted training sessions will help build strong cross-generational relationships, especially among older church members. Additional training will equip pastors and volunteers with skills to bridge generational and cultural gaps. Workshops will be hosted to provide parents with tools and knowledge to support their children’s educational and spiritual growth at home. Professional development opportunities will be offered to ministry leaders to enhance their ability to nurture children’s spiritual growth. This program will partner with 12 East African refugee churches.
