LOCATION:

Fort Wayne, IN, USA

Alive in God's Word is a bilingual faith formation and catechetical program that employs multisensory, age-appropriate techniques to help children from preschool to sixth grade connect more strongly with the Catholic liturgy. It integrates the message of the Sunday lectionary-based Scripture readings into their daily lives at home and in the community. Three levels of curriculum will be developed for early childhood. Each level will include a child component, catechist guide, and manuals for directors of religious education and pastors. The program will be piloted for one year in 12-24 parishes across four regions of the United States. Training related to Alive in God's Word will be made available to the parishes served by OSV in multiple formats, including in-person training at national, regional, and diocesan conferences and training events, live webinars, and online training through the program website.
