Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church

The purpose of the project is to support congregations in experimenting with meaningful ways to nurture children in worship and prayer and creating a shift in culture from children as recipients of ministry to agents of ministry. Program activities include an assessment to identify twelve churches in their conference that serve as exemplars in intergenerational worship. These churches will play a key role in forming a co-laboratory that shares practices with the greater conference in an immersive setting. This project will also host a yearly Intergenerational Worship Summit, a one-day conference-wide gathering. We anticipate 180 congregations engaging in this project.
