Adapted Discipleship

The Adapted Discipleship program seeks to equip parents and caregivers, along with their local churches, to nurture the religious lives of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program will create for parents and congregational leaders an online resource library with Bible story videos, social stories for children with Autism, classroom tools and disability ministry training videos. In addition, Church of the Nazarene will hire a full-time Disability Ministry Coordinator, who will initiate and facilitate online small groups for parents and caregivers to provide them with mutual support, access to parenting and faith sharing resources and opportunities to share successes, setbacks, and milestones.
